1. Hydrate. Water is so important and your headache may simply be from dehydration. Staying hydrated throughout the day can prevent headaches from happening and drinking a glass or two of water when you are experiencing the headache can do wonders!
2. Peppermint Oil. Neck and shoulder tension are a common contributing factor to headaches; using 2-3 drops of peppermint oil topically to the area 3 times a day will be sure to help your headache. For a muscle rub add a few drops of peppermint essential oil with a carrier oil (coconut, jojoba, etc.) and apply to neck and shoulder to help loosen them up. 3. Acupressure. There is a point on your hand between the second metacarpal and the thumb in the fleshy area nicknamed the ‘Headache point.’ Putting pressure on this area for 1-2 minutes is helpful to ease headaches (***Caution: Do not use this in pregnancy or suspected pregnancy).
